We are proud to announce successful implementation of Magento and Microsoft Dynamics NAV integration for one of America’s leading distributors of sports and nutrition supplements, Lone Star Distribution. Lone Star distributes to over 5,000 retailers, gyms, health clubs, online stores and nutrition stores.
Since their simple beginnings in 1997 to becoming one of the largest distributors in the United States, Lone Star has been known for their Customer Service, Product Knowledge, Reliability, Order Accuracy and Competitive Pricing. Finding it difficult to live up to those expectations, because of their existing manual process of entering order data into their Dynamics NAV ERP, they partnered with i95Dev to build a seamless, automated and real time integration between their Magento eCommerce store and Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system; while incorporating their existing workflows and processes.
After thoroughly understanding Lone Star’s requirements and existing processes, default features were mapped to their requirements and customizations were identified.
Catering to their B2B requirement, i95Dev incorporated custom sales order forms with seamless Dynamics NAV integration for a smooth transition from their existing setup of email, excel (to take orders) and manual sync to a more streamlined and automated process.  Magento was then customized to accommodate their custom order workflow processes, which required additional approval in specific instances.
For Lone Star their sales people play a crucial role in the success of their organization and they could not be left out. Magento and the integration functionality was also extended to support complex B2B functionality like Sales Person (create, modify and assign sales persons) and Credit limits (to allow businesses to place orders on credit).
Other customizations for Lone Star include customizations to support Customer Price Groups and Item Discount Groups in Magento, allow order edits from NAV to Magento, etc. All this was in addition to the default integration (Customers, Orders, Products, Inventory, etc.) between Magento and Dynamics NAV systems.
